Champagne

The most famous bubbles in the world come from this special region in Northeast France. Only Sparkling wine from the Champagne region can bear it's name and for good reason, as the unique combination of soil, weather and tradition make it special and so different from sparklers elsewhere. The principle varietals grown in this region are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The towns of Reims and Epernay are the two commercial centers of the region.
