DOMAINE MARC COLIN PULIGNY-MONTRACHET LES ENSEIGNERES 2022

9 Current Inventory

Les Enseignères is one of those rare "stealth" vineyards in the complex world of Burgundy. Its western border forms the eastern edge of Bâtard-Montrachet, and it is one of the rare spots where a grand cru slopes directly down into village-level territory with no premier cru in between.

Pale lemon color with lovely white fruit on the nose. Subtle flavors of apples and spring flowers, all quite intricate, stretches very well across the palate. Energy and vibrancy grow towards the long and lovely finish.

The 70-year-old vines in this parcel deliver wonderfully sophisticated and complex fruit; its ageing potential for its village status is astounding. Treat this like a premier cru, and don’t hesitate to hold for ten years if you can resist.
