CHARLES LE BEL 1818 BRUT NV INSPIRATION BY BILLECART-SALMON

Billecart-Salmon's second label- a great deal! This wine is has been made for over 20 years by the Billecart family, but was not seen in the US market until recently. It is composed of relatively equal parts of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, and benefits from 70% of reserve wines.

Sparkling and crystalline with fine and plentiful bubbles. A blooming nose with harmonious notes of white flesh fruits, Mirabelle plums and dried fruits. Dry, well balanced and structured with citrus and white flesh fruits. 

Every year, Billecart-Salmon vinifies base wines from a greater number of parcels than it actually needs for the production of its main cuvees. The tasting committee tastes each of these base wines and selects only the ones that match the standard and the style of Billecart-Salmon. Some of the wines that are not selected are bottled to be part of a second wine from the house, Inspiration 1818. -- Winemaker Charles Le Bel
