DELILLE CELLARS D2 2022

This is a fantastic Bordeaux Blend from Washington State. Mocha and milk chocolate notes from French oak integrate with beautiful cassis, dried cranberry, and cedar. Soft and delicious at first, however it rapidly builds in intensity of fruit mid-palate, offering remarkable length on the finish.

D2 is sourced from over a dozen Columbia Valley Vineyards, including Red Willow, Harrison Hill, Ciel du Cheval, Klipsun, Boushey, DuBrul, Upchurch and Grand Ciel.

93 POINTS, The Wine Advocate. "The 2022 D2 is a blend of 56% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, matured for 20 months in 47% new French oak. Opaque ruby-purple in the glass, it has pure scents of chocolate-covered cherries, lavender, thyme and mint. The full-bodied palate is elegantly styled with mineral-laced flavors, powdery tannins, juicy acidity and a long, layered finish."

92 POINTS, Vinous. "The 2022 D2 slowly emerges from the glass with blackberry, sage, chalk dust and dried flowers. This is a soft-textured effort, with soothing roundness and mineral-inflected wild berry tones lifted by cooling acidity. Dusty tannins linger through the long finale."
