PIEMAGGIO CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA 2019

This is small lot, handcrafted and naturally made Chianti Riserva.  Only in vintages that merit it does Piemaggio produce a Riserva, which spends an extra year in cask.  Produced from 90% Sangiovese with 10% Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, and Colorino. There is a sense of analog warmth here, with tannins refined through time but retaining a bit of grain. This is utterly textbook in character, combining earth, bright fruit, leather, menthol and tangy acidity, with notable yet unforced concentration; it is a wine of balance and egoless drinkability.  Made as a natural wine.
