Crushed wild berries with peppery herbs grab your attention in this blend from Montefalco in Umbria.  Ripe cherry fruit envelopes the palate with hints of dusty earth and softening tannins.  This is rustic yet refined and easy-drinking with loads of Italian personality.  The wine is aged in tank and barrel for several years prior to release.  Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot.
