DOMAINE RENE LECLERC GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN CLOS PRIEUR 2020

13 Current Inventory

There is tremendous energy and a chewy density in this wine.  The fruit is elegant and ripe with softening tannins that create the pleasing mouthfeel.  Bold cherries (both fresh and baked), violets, and raspberry all glide along a firm mineral underpinning joined by fresh earth. The finish is smooth, substantial and long.

This multi-generational family domaine follows traditional vinification and elevage with grapes pressed utilizing an antique, manual wooden press, then the juice undergoes a short cold maceration. Fermentation is completed all indigenous yeasts in traditional vats. The wine is aged in neutral barrels for 18 months.  Natural wine.
