This classic Montagny is piercingly mineral and direct with wonderful vibrancy. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and bottled about a year after harvest and is a good early-drinking white burgundy. Les Bassets shows a chalky, almost Chablis-like character of Montagny at its best, but also with some mid-palate richness.
