The power of the old vines really stand out in this vintage and reduced yields.  Rich, powerful and structured black cherry with earthy soil elements, however there is a tension and freshness to balance out the layered fruit.  This is an exceptional wine from a legendary producer in NSG.

"Dense aromas of black cherry, plum, earth and whiffs of wood and the sauvage give way to sleek, delicious and detailed flavors that are finer but not denser, all wrapped in an equally attractively textured finish that is more structured.
