This is riserva-level and gorgeous Montepulciano at a great price!
The combination of premium fruit, barrel aging and some extra time in the cellar result in a totally different animal compared to the normal table wine we know of as Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. Still from the same place but with lots of extra love and attention. The plum fruit makes way for subtle hints of balsamic, a hint of pepper spice and more earth. This is a beautiful, balanced, super-smooth medium bodied wine with well integrated tannins.

While youthfully structured and poised, a lasting flourish of licorice, currant and tobacco lingers incredibly long."
