Morellino di Scansano is a lesser-known area in Tuscany that is further west, towards the coast and therefore influenced by a more marine environment compared to the rest of Tuscany. Primarily Sangiovese with noticeable freshness and vibrancy. There's plenty of bright cherry fruit along with menthol zip and some earth notes. Subtle blue fruits come into play towards the soft and lingering finish.
