DOMAINE CHAUVENET BOURGOGNE ROUGE NOYER DU PENDU 2016

12 Current Inventory

The 2016 vintage has yielded fresh energetic (albeit limited) red burgundy from the Côte d'Or; wines that present with exacting clarity and purity of both pinot noir, the grape, and where exactly where one is along the Côte d'Or, in this case, just outside of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The Chauvenet Bourgogne is loaded with crisp dark-hued pinot fruit reminiscent of young crunchy-textured bing cherries and is one serious red burgundy. It hails from the family's 37 acres in the vineyard site of "Noyer du Pendu", located just to the north of the town of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The wine was aged for 18 months in exclusively older barrels. Great presence and class in a substantial red burgundy.
