Chinato could be considered the Barolo equivalent of Port or Madeira.  Several Barolo producers make Chinato, but this is the one you want as the Cappellano family basically invented it.   This unique elixir has a touch of sweetness and is infused with a mix of medicinal, hand-ground herbs and spices.  The Cappellano family recipe is a closely guarded secret, passed down over several generations. This Nebbiolo wine is unfiltered and has rich and smooth notes of chocolate and rose blossoms along with a cornucopia of herbs and spices.  This is the perfect elegant pairing for a dessert course with chocolate or fruit and nuts.
