A rare bottling of "Gran Selezione" which is clear step up the ladder from a "Riserva" bottling.  This is the designation a winemaker will give to their top offering. 

This is exactly what truly special Chianti is supposed to taste like: a super complex expression from Tuscany with plenty of succulent fruit and ripe berry flavors that are supported by dense tannins. Intermixed within the layered fruit are notes of Tuscan goodness such as leather, tobacco, iron and smoky cherry fruit, with a finish that is long and expansive.
